Interviewed at an OOS public school and I really love it. The school gives interviews to about 75 OOS people and matriculates about 25 by the end of the cycle. So it seems the acceptance rate for interviewees is 33%

However, this is a rather low ranking, small unknown regional school. Is it reasonable to believe that by the end of the cycle, they hand out more acceptances than 25, since a few accepted people will go to a better school instead? So with all things considered, are my raw statistical chances significantly higher than 33%?

The school could give admission to 40 students out of the 75 interviewed. So, if you got a chance of interview, your chance of being admitted is over 50% for this school.

or they could give 25 admissions and waitlist the other 50. Your explanation is probably what actually happens but just saying that one could easily report an acceptance rate of 33%. Either way, yeah, more than 1/3 of the OOS applicants will get offered a spot at some point so as demonstrated, acceptance rate depends on what you define as an acceptance.
