Chances of Acceptance into NCSSM Summer Ventures

Im applying to summer ventures this summer. I’m a sophomore-#1 in my class, 187 on the psat, highest gpa award in geometry and english my ninth grade year, member of beta club, key club secretary, marching band, wind ensemble, i’ve never made anything less than a 100 on my transcript. chances, please??

Your academic and extracurricular record sound solid but I’ll be honest - your PSAT score could be a little higher (and don’t you have to take the SAT to apply for that program?) Also a large part of your acceptance depends on your district. If you’re from way the heck out in Tobaccoville your chances are SIGNIFICANTLY higher than if you’re from Raleigh/Cary, Greensboro, Chapel Hill, or Charlotte.

But I’ll say it sounds like you have a pretty decent shot. Good luck.

^Summer Ventures acceptances have been announced already.

You probably thought maryfrance meant NCSSM, which by the way, statuses are posted at 6PM today (if they don’t keep bumping them back) so good luck to everyone who applied.

thanks for chancing me…i found out about a month ago that i did indeed get into summer ventures and im going to UNCC this summer-im very excited! i decided not to apply for NCSSM a long time ago because honestly, i like my high school just fine and i didnt really want to leave home at 16.
