Lefty,

I am sure that Delaware continues to recruit better students, and numbers are trending up.
I do think that it might not be as high as they like everyone to believe. I know we live far away, and we are not competing against the same pool, but I know my daughter and three others from our area that got in with 22, 23, 25, and 25 ACT scores. Perhaps the desire to expand their geographic reach allowed for lower scores, or perhaps they also looked at the holistic applicant.
i guess, I hate to tell anyone that they don’t have a shot. We were the beneficiaries of a concerted effort to gain admission to UDEl. We feel fortunate, and hope that others work for their dreams. I agree that if you are not in the sweet spot for admissions, you better work hard to set yourself apart, and you better have some solid safeties that you would be happy to attend…
I am not intending to be controversial, I do think U Del is unique compared to other Big State U’s. I know that in some cases they look at much more than grades and scores. I commend and thank them for that…
