As a senior, I take two AP courses (Econ and Italian), and the remainder of my schedule is honors courses. I did not opt out of any classes for my senior year, I have every class I could possibly take packed into my schedule. I also have a 4.0 GPA, 3 Honor Societies (Italian, Math and National Honor Society) and 8 other school wide honor certificates (I will more than likely receive a couple more this year).
For my leadership roles and extracurricular activities: I am the president of one of the clubs at my school and I am also involved in SHEILD, which is a club at my school that helps students enhance their leadership skills (I am a mentor in the club). Another leadership role I have is my status as lead tutor for a language enrichment club; I was selected for the position by taking Italian for 6 years and having over a 90 throughout high school. In addition to those three clubs, I have volunteered for various other charities, such as YMCA and Wounded Warrior Project, and I am also a board member for one of the non- profit organizations in my town (I have had input in a couple events put on by the foundation). Overall, I would say I have 90+ volunteer hours over the past 3 years.
The last bit of information I think could be helpful is I play varsity golf, and I was also on the varsity hockey team. I have also received gleaming letters of recommendation from NYU and West Point alumni, and I attend a notable Catholic prep school in New Jersey.
My SAT scores are low, I got a 1600. How much will this effect my chances at admission?
