I was wondering if any current students or applicants could offer some insight into my chances of admission at Stanford. I’m currently going into my sophomore year of high school and here are my credentials as they should be when I apply:
Attends an International Baccalaureate World School
Applying Restrictive Early Action
6 honors classes/year freshman and sophomore year
7 IBs - 4 HL, 3 SL
4.0 GPA- freshman & sophomore year
4.5 GPA - junior & senior year
Plays the violin
7 years - Student council
7 years - Science Olympiad (1st place medals in ecology and dynamic planet)
Speaks Spanish and French fluently
Presented economic research and suggested policy on Spanish unemployment to economics professors and graduate students at the University of Michigan
2nd place - Michigan Euro Challenge
35 ACT composite
150 CAS hours
All school honors in history and choir (only one given out per grade)
3 years - Model UN

<p>You sound like a VERY STRONG applicant Stanford is very unpredictable, so its kinda hard to predict your chances, I think you can get in though.</p>
<p>Advice? Forget about college, and just live life.</p>
<p>Also, it’s hardly possible to predict your life for the next three years. I changed VERY dramatically from my freshman year, and even during my senior year. So, again, just breathe for a second and don’t worry about college until the time comes (mid to late junior year).</p>
