I go to high school in pennsylvania and involved in various activites. I have a 3.7 weighted and 3.2 unweighted GPA. I got a 610 CR, 660 Math, and 640 writing. I got a 29 composite on the ACT. I have 60+ hrs. of community service, lettered for varsity golf three years, and im involved in 2 or 3 other clubs. I am wondering what my chances are for Clemson, USC (south carolina), UGA, Elon, and UF would be. Also, does being OOS strongly affect my chances at most of these schools and if so is it beneficial or not?

I’m already done with my junior year. Does applying early really help THAT much or should I wait until the end of first semester and apply at the regular deadlines so I can try to raise my GPA?

No, you should wait and raise you GPA. That’ll help you out more than applying early. I really don’t think applying early helps much–I think they accept a higher percentage because the applicants who apply early have stronger applications, which makes sense when you think about it.

Thanks…i probably will still apply early I think becuase realistically, the most I will raise my gpa in one semester is about .1 I probably could get defferred then they can see the change but if i get denied, .1 probably wouldnt make a difference anyway.
