UIUC GS: Reach

I’d say it’s a medium reach.

What can i do at this point to try to make it more of a good chance of admission

Your GPA and class rank put you in a hole. Given the other parts of your app, you’d probably need a 5-6 point composite leap on the ACT to take you out of the reach category. This past year UIUC accepted a significant amount of students that they wouldn’t have accepted in the past due to a small number of applications, so that could help you if you could make that ACT leap and add a powerful EC.
