Chances of getting a good SAT score?

Alright, so I took the SATs in 7th grade, and I got an 1830. I took a legit-seeming practice one from Collegeboard and got a 2050 just now, as a freshman. Think it’s possible for me to improve my score by a considerable amount (like a hundred points) by sophomore year, based on my current growth, when I apply to a boarding school?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I wanted to know if people actually improve very much between retakes. Does just going to high school raise SAT scores by a lot?

Yes, high school will boost your score. As much as they call it an “aptitude test”, the reality is that there are valuable skills for SAT questions that you typically do not learn until high school.

I did the TIP program in 7th grade as well, then retook in 8th, 9th, and 10th. Every year my already-very-good score improved by ~80 points. And that was in the days of the 1600-point maximum.

If you have a 2050 now, by junior year you should have a very solid score.

I have had three children so far take the SAT (TIP program) in 7th grade and by 11th grade they improved approximately 50 points per year on each section just by going to public high school. No extra prep at all. So they improved by 200 points in math and 200 points in English (also days of 1600 max). My fourth child is applying to boarding school this year if he gets in it will be interesting to see if he improves more than the others.
