<p>My daughter applied EA to Hofstra & Marist. Both deferred her. Does anybody know hwat her chances are of gettig into these schools?</p>

<p>raise the sat up a little more… that’s why she got deferred. if she got a solid 1800 i’m positive she’d get in.</p>

<p>I agree. It seems as though the SAT is the problem. Did she take the ACT?<br>
Maybe you can have a teacher or guidance counselor send one more recommendation letter which explains that her SAT does not reflect her true in-class abilities. Maybe she can ask her GC to make a personal phone call to the admissions’s office on her behalf.</p>
