<p>I’m a junior and considered above average in my school. Recently, a girl in my class said that colleges do not like it if you drop down a level in a certain course and that they enjoy seeing either progress or consistency. I began to worry because I was enrolled in Honors English I in my freshmen year but I received an 84 in the class and the prerequisite for Honors English II was an 85. I dropped down to Advanced English II and have stayed there, earning 90’s. On the other hand, I received a 95 in Advanced Algebra II in freshman year and enrolled in Honors Pre-Calculus in sophomore year and then AP Calculus AB. I know that colleges look at the type of courses that you take but will this be enough for a college to reject me if I was progressing in other areas (such as math) or staying consistent in the rest (Honors/AP level science and social studies courses)?</p>
