Chances of getting into a top-tier school (Harvard, Yale, UPenn, etc)?

<p>I am an asian male. Here are my statistics:</p>

<p>-Rank: 1/477
-GPA: 4.0 uw/ 4.7 weighted

  • Classes: scored 5’s on five AP Courses. Took hardest courses in school
  • SAT scores: 750 reading, 800 math, 800 writing (2350)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:

  • 10th-12th grade: JV Cross Country Captain( 10th grade), Varsity Cross Country Captain (11th-12th)
  • 10th -12th grade: Varsity Wrestling (10th), Varsity Wrestling Captain(11th-12).
  • Mu Alpha Theta (10th-12th): Vice President. won a regional contest.
  • Red Cross Club (10th-12th): did a couple projects totaling 350 hours.
  • Landscaping business(9th-12th): helped my father trim trees and mow lawns averaging a couple ours every day. </p>

<p>Other:

  • national merit scholar
  • No legacy
  • Income bracket: below $50,000.</p>

<p>I’d say you stand a decent chance—but it also depends on your essay and recs and other factors. Your EC’s aren’t awe-insipiring, then again, whose is? Your stats are awesome and focused on your sport, which is always a good thing. I won’t be surprised if you get in 2 out of 3 from HYP, but I also won’t be surprised to see you rejected at all 3. Accepted at all 3 is unlikely, though possible. Can u chance me also??? (see my posts) Thanks.</p>
