Hello everyone,
I’m looking to apply to the UCs and Occidental, Cornell, and the University of Colorado in the near future, and wanted to ask if they will admit me with two years of French? I go to an alternative (Waldorf) high school where there are no AP courses, but I want to give myself more of a challenge in English which has resulted in me deciding to take AP Lit next year for junior year. The only way i can do this however, is to drop one of my morning classes which is either French or math, and i have no desire in dropping math. Will they overlook the fact that I dropped French if I tell them I had to do so in order to take an AP course?
UC’s require 2 years but recommend 3 years. Yes, you could get into a UC with 2 years of FL but most of the competitive applicants will have at least 3 years.
