Pretty solid applicant, although stats could be a bit higher. You've also clearly shown passion for medicine. But the one thing that really stands out to me here is your international experience/diverseness <<(probably not a word haha).

African American female who's been to Egypt, Oman, India for different activities, and bilingual in English/German!? That's so awesome! :) Are you applying to plme perchance?
Best of luck with everything!

Thanks! :)
Yeah, I'm also applying to PLME! But I think it'll be a really big stretch since its so selective...
Ahh, so nervous for Dec. 11th!
I hope my stats don't get me rejected :S

Any other opinionsss? :)

Yes, actually for Brown, if you express your interest that they surely are your number one school, you can get in. I went their for a one week program three summers ago, and then a three week program two years ago, and I still remember that is was an amazing experience. The campus is small and homey and thayer street kicks @s.s, however it got really boring after a short while because Providence is such a small "city.".............that is why I am applying to NYU Stern ED!!!!! YES! Oh and you do not have a chance at PLME, but if you ED at Brown, you will get in, I am very sure as long as you express the fullest interest that Brown is your number one school out of every single one you apply to. You have to do that, that is what all of the admissions advisors told me to do. Just make sure you really really really really know why Brown? Why you at Brown? It is a selective school, and your SAT takes you out of the running for PLME, but I would say 45% chance of RD and about 65% chance of ED. Good luck! I like Brown too! haha

Thanks! I applied ED!
I tried to show my interest alot through my interview and in the "why brown" short answer, I gave really specific answers...
Yeah, I figured PLME would be a SUPERRR stretch haha, I'll just be so happy if I get into the school haha :)

Scores are a bit lowish for Brown, but you have an interesting background, hopefully you stressed that! =) ED will definitely increase your chances, I'd say you have a decent chance!! Good luck!!

Thanks alot...

Anyone else?

Any other advice?

Dahh so nervous! One last bump.

If you showed great personality in your essay, you're in, I think.

But if you've written something about school or learning other than that you hadn't enough time for it, then forget.

Thanks :) I spent ALOT of time on them, they each highlight one of my passions (medicine and the environment), and especially my commonapp essay shows my personality in a really different quirky ish way :)

to be very honest, and only because such forum posts lead to you being judged more on your stats than any thing else, i think you may get rejected.

but if your essays and recs (which you obviously can't showcase here) are good, you may end up getting in.

that's the whole fun of the admission game, you just never know. if it's any help live by this: "hope for the best, prepare for the worst."

Yeah, I know what you mean, I definitely am lower than average stat wise for Brown...
I think if I get in it'd only be because of EC's, recs and diversity...
Thanks for the honesty :)

Up your SAT scores. Otherwise, I like your passion for medicine and your amazing linguistic skills, and im glad your recs are nice. :)
