Chances of getting into Georgia Tech?

SAT - 2260 (M-780, CR-710, W-770)
SAT subject tests - Math Level II - 790, Physics - 750
I’m a US citizen, but I’ve lived practically all my life in India, where the GPA system isn’t really followed. So this is what I can tell you:

Freshman grades were Bs and Cs.

Sophomore:
Physics - A*
Mathematics - A*
Additional Mathematics - B
Chemistry - B
Biology - A
English Language - A
Literature - B
Economics - A
Business - A
French - A

I only did 1 final examination (math) in my Junior year and got an A.

Senior:
Physics - A-
Further Math - C+
English - A-
Economics - B

I am treasurer of my school’s interact club
I am the head of finance of my class’ ‘green’ business.
I have been enrolled in a vocal training course for 3 months and have performed live twice at a restaurant-theater.

Am I elligible?

erm do you have any more extra-curriculars?

my friend just got in with a 1970 SAT 1 and similar Sat 2s so gradewise you make the cut, as do you with the rest of your grades… it’s just the EC’s i’d be a bit worried about

Well I’ve done minimal amounts of community service and I horseback rode as a hobby for about 8 years but stopped in 10th grade… I know this doesn’t add much though since I never actually competed.

I think your grades and scores should help you make the cut. On the EC’s I would be sure to say how much time the vocal training course and performances have taken. Most schools want to see the quality (time spent, things accomplished) over the a large number of ECs. The vocal training course is more outside the box for a typical engineering/math/science type student. They also like “green” ECs these days. Good luck, it is a great school.

I got accepted to GT with a 34 (~2250) and a 3.75 GPA and <= 30 hours of community service. Noting this, I think you will get in; you won’t get a scholarship though.

I think GT will accept you.

Many publics like accepting out-of-state students because they’re “full pay.”

@cjgone what were your ECs like?

Robotics and chess. That’s it.
