<p>Hi. I would like some help regarding my chances of getting into some of the top schools in the MidWest. I currently am a high school senior.
31 ACT
4.23 weighted GPA
Scored a 5 on the AP Language and Composition test
Have taken all available AP classes at my high school (one of the top schools in the area)
Volunteered at a hospital every week over the summer
Volunteered at my church’s VBS
National Honor Society member</p>

<p>…but here’s my “hook”: I own my own piano teaching business. I am a piano teacher that rents out a room at a nearby music store and currently have 19 students of all ages. My schedule is currently booked up with students. I teach them everything, ranging from simple sight reading to the most advanced scales out there. I hope this aspect separates me from the average Joe.</p>

<p>How good are the chances, if any, of getting into some of the top schools in the midwest? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.</p>

<p>Excellent for Washington university. I believe the majority of students there have an act of 31 or above so that’s okay. Your hook and hospital volunteer work are commendable. Are you outside missouri because that would be better.</p>
