@user1999 , Your Gpa, if that’s the weighted, looks borderline for nursing. Last year I was told they cut it off at a 3.8/3.9 for UP, with a few exceptions. Like maybe you’ve done some extensive health-related activities, shadowing or are already a CNA. However, your SAT is low for UP. You may get deferred to Altoona or Behrend. I don’t know Behrend, but Altoona’s nursing program is great. Newer sim lab and right next to a level 2 trauma center. I’ve heard a lot of nice comments about it. Still feels like a large campus, but not too large.
Good luck! Again, your GPA is great for UP…it’s just this direct entry nursing program is a little tougher to get in. Last year they got 1800 apps for 150 or so spots.
If you are offered Altoona, jump on housing right away. Dorm space is limited on campus, although there are apartments surrounding the campus.
