Chances of Getting into NYU as an International Student?

Hi, I’m interested in getting into NYU but there’s one minor glitch, I live all the way in London, England.

I haven’t taken the ACTs yet but I shall in April this year. I have no idea what my GPA is but my AS predicted results are:

Art- A/B
Maths- A*
Biology - A
Chemistry- A/B

My GCSEs results included 5A*s , 5 As and 2Bs (I know disgraceful to have a B, just kidding)

Extra Curricular:

Dressmaking classes- 2 years
CCF Navy- 4 terms (semesters) Where I won the Best New Cadet in the section.
Co-chair of Amnesty International at my school.
Head of the Costume department at my school which included leading a team, and basically doing what a professional would do.
Member of the Concert band - I play the Glockenspiel (haha Think adult xylophone)
Member of the School Choir
Member of the School’s selective Sixth Form Choir
Author of a Fashion blog - [url=http://aloveforvogue.blogspot.com]A Love for Fashion

I’m a BBC i.e. British Born Chinese so basically Asian haha

My first choice is NYU CAS!!! woop woop
Joint Second is Parsons School of Fashion or Columbia Uni (but that seems REALLY hard to get into)!
Third is Fashion Institute of Technology.

What would you be applying for?

Can your family afford the $55,000-$60,000/yr tuition of NYU, Parsons or Columbia? As an international student you will be getting no aid for NYU or Parsons. I doubt Columbia gives much to internationals either. That’s $220,000-$240,000 for all four years. That’s 142,000-154,000 pounds for all four years, can you afford that?

I would recommend staying in the UK for college, your system is far cheaper and much easier to pay back for debt. You also do not qualify for any US aid or loans unless you have someone living in the US who would be willing to co-sign loans for you.

Thanks for your reply NYU2013.
To be honest, money isn’t really an issue in my case. The main one is will I be able to get in.
