Freshman year, I got mostly A’s. I got a few B’s and one C. My gpa so far is about a 3.6 unweighted, but all of my classes are honors. I hope to get my uw gpa up to a 3.95 or something close to that by the end of junior year.
This year (sophomore year) is my 2nd year being on the board of directors for my school’s Key Club. I might run for a district lieutenant position for junior year. I also am on the Eliminate Committee for the club, where we are planning a benefit dinner for charity.
I take tennis lessons, and I am also on the school lacrosse team.
I am joining the school Bible Club, and just finished a Women’s Bible Study at my local church.
I am potentially getting a job at a local farm for the summer and fall. In the spring, I am getting a chance to work at a vet clinic.
I am about to start volunteering at the local shelter this year.
I am beginning horseback lessons (once I get my job to pay for them! haha!)
I am also, if accepted, doing the Tufts AVM Summer Program next summer!
This is all my EC stuff for freshman and upcoming sophomore year.
Also, I am challenging myself by taking two math classes this year. That way, I can jump ahead and get into AP Calc in senior year. I plan on doing all AP classes junior and senior year.
I want to major in bio and minor in either French or Arabic. Then I want to go to grad school (preferably at the same school I study undergrad in) for DVM. How can I improve myself for these colleges? Freshman year was kind of a screwup but I hope an upward trend through high school may draw attention away from my B’s and C. Advice? Chances for these schools?
