chances of getting into umass amhearst?

<p>i have a 650 math 570 writing and 520 reading
gpa total is around 3.3 or 3.4
gpa at the moment is 3.8 all a’s except 1 b in math
intro to calc
honors chem
history vs hollywood
sociology
small engines
modern literature</p>

<p>what are my chances of getting into umass amhearst? thanks</p>

<p>UMass Amherst: Safety (3.4/1740 is pretty much the lowest point where UMass can be a safety)</p>

<p>when you say safety, do you mean the lowest for a safety for guaranteed acceptance? meaning that if i am just below that i have a pretty good chance of getting in?</p>

<p>You’ll probably get in if you have decent extracurriculars. You should aim higher.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t say a safety. Moreso a match. Your GPA is kinda low for UMass, but your SATs are in the upper half.</p>

<p>You pretty much meet the averages for UMass in terms of SAT and GPA. Your GPA might be a tiny bit above average if it’s unweighted.</p>

<p>@TylerNark His SAT is not in the upper half. It’s slightly below average. The average SAT (CR+M) for fall of 2011 was 1190 and the OP has an 1170.</p>

<p>His GPA (if unweighted), however, is slightly above average. Average UW for UMass is around 3.2ish</p>
