Chances of getting into UPenn, or Columbia?

I am an African-American male:
I know i know, here are my mediocre stats:
600 SAT Math
550 SAT Reading
520 SAT Writing

(Im planning on taking the SAT again with much higher scores)

Extra-Curricular Activities:
President of Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honors Society)
FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Treasurer (District Award)
African American Brain Bowl
City of Miami Gardens Junior Council
AOHT (Academy of Hospitality and Tourism) Treasurer

College Prep activities:
University of Miami High School Careers in Medicine Workshop

Top 1% of My class with a weighted GPA of a 4.8 on a 4.0 Scale

I think you have a decent chance as long as you can get your SAT score over 1850 or so. Given your class rank, they might be willing to overlook it, but around 1900 would be a lot safer of a place to be. Have you taken any SAT IIs? I'm pretty sure both Columbia and Penn require them.
