Chances of getting into UPenn, or Columbia?

I know i know, here are my mediocre stats:
600 SAT Math
550 SAT Reading
520 SAT Writing</p>

<p>(Im planning on taking the SAT again with much higher scores)</p>

AOHT (Academy of Hospitality and Tourism) Treasurer</p>

University of Miami High School Careers in Medicine Workshop</p>

<p>Top 1% of My class with a weighted GPA of a 4.8 on a 4.0 Scale</p>

<p>I think you have a decent chance as long as you can get your SAT score over 1850 or so. Given your class rank, they might be willing to overlook it, but around 1900 would be a lot safer of a place to be. Have you taken any SAT IIs? I’m pretty sure both Columbia and Penn require them.</p>
