Even if I’m denied an ROTC scholarship, I still want to know how much financial aid I could receive. Thanks for reading!

I assume that you just finished your junior year, and are about to begin your senior year. If so…

  1. You have an excellent chance of getting an Army ROTC scholarship, but you need to apply this year (preferably this summer).

  2. But you need to take both the SAT and ACT this summer. Do it as soon as possible. ASAP.

  3. Everybody’s chance for an Ivy (or even Georgetown) is very small. You need to apply to several less prestigious schools too (Berkeley and UCLA don’t count, especially if you are out of state).

  4. One such school to consider is Tulane, because it offers free room and board to all ROTC scholarship students. Many other schools do this too, but none are Ivy (or even close, as far as I know). Sounds to me like your family would really benefit from free room and board.

Other financial aid varies according to the school. Each college has a “net price calculator” on their website and the results are usually different from one another (often extremely different).
