Chances of increasing SAT score to 1800, and what should I do to Increase (HELP)

I’m very disappointing when it comes to Standardized tests or any long duration test. I’ am an upcoming senior so this is probably my last chance of taking the SAT I’ am planning of taking either October or December. I took the SAT back in March and Got a score of 1290, yes probably the lowest on this website. Math score 450 Reading Score 400 and Writing a 440. I really didn’t study what so ever. I need advice to increase my score, I will get any book I need, and I haave the dedication, However I can’t afford any course at the moment. PLEASE HELP

Read the pinned topics for xiggi’s guide and silverturtle’s guide. Work through them and see what happens. Your goal is unrealistic but possible.

I think the fundamental reason as to why you are getting relatively low scores on the SAT and other standardized, long tests is because you have a short concentration span. If you cannot sit in a chair for a while, that is problematic, because the SAT requires you to concentrate for a long period of time; it’s basically a mental marathon. Improve on that first off.

Second, get the Blue book (The Official study guide to the SAT) and go through the practice questions. Also, grab some vocabulary books from the store. Whichever is fine, but many people recommend Direct Hits and Essential 500 words. For math, get Grubber’s math book and go through the exercises to see where you are.

Please keep in mind that this is just an advice. I cannot be absolutely sure as to whether or not your attention span is a problem; it is just my own thought. Therefore, the most important thing is to know your own weakness. Try to find out why you got such a low score. It may or may not be the attention span, so try to find the problem.

Last words; never lose confidence. It’s just a mere test. Good luck on the SAT.
