Hi! I’m from Ireland and I’m applying to Taft for a PG year for 25/26. I play basketball and actually visited and got a tour and met with the coach which was amazing. My grades are okay ish I think. I’ll be sitting the December Sats and hopefully get a 1250-1300? I’ll be sitting it for the 2nd time. I have really really good recommendations and I have an interview set up. Please let me know some advice or any information you have. Thank you!
Are you pursuing basketball recruiting at US colleges? If yes, to me that would give you a better shot (because you’d be an impact player in prep school, and also are likely to make their college matriculation list look good).

That’s my hope to get recruited for a college after the PG year. I am confident I would be an impact player but definitely not there best player.
And as an academic point of view? What do my chances look like? I wouldn’t be applying for FA either
I can’t chance you! Especially as PG applications are a different beast from regular applications.
If the end goal is playing at a US college, I expect you also need to get on that simultaneously. Good luck!
