<p>Anyone chance my daughter for merit aid; She was invited to apply waiving application fee and essay, however, she submitted essay anyway; they just rec’d. her transcript and recommendations and now we’re waiting. Stats as follows: 4.1 weighted gpa, 18/357, will have completed 6 AP’s (rec’d. a 5 in AP chem and 4 in Lang/Comp), 11 Honors, 32 ACT, Straight A’s thus far, except for a B+ in 9th grade geometry. Tons of extra curriculars - captain of tennis team and debate team for this upcoming year; founder/Pres. of Leo’s Club, part-time job, teaching assistant in religious school; Nat’l. Honor Society, Nat’l. English HS and World Language HS. Applying pre-pharmacy - would like the conditional acceptance. I think she’ll get in, however, we are concerned about getting some merit; we know she qualifies as some other big schools (Ohio, Indiana, Maryland, UMass, UDel, Purdue) for merit, but she wants Pitt badly after a great weekend spent out there in July for an open house we attended. We are from NJ, caucasion. Chances, anyone?</p>
