Chances of transfer into Aerospace Engineering from a Physics major under Restricted Pathway transfer to Georgia Tech

Hi, my son has a guarantee offer for transfer into GIT for 2024 Fall into the college of Arts & Science for a Physics major. This is a restricted pathway transfer offer. Once he goes to GIT, what are his chances if he wanted to transfer into Aerospace Engineering? Currently he is an Undeclared freshman in University of California, Irvine and is on track to transfer into Aerospace Engineering.

We are in a dilemma whether to take up Georgia Tech’s transfer offer as there is no information on whether he will be able to transfer into Aerospace Engineering from the Arts & Science college with Physics major, under the restricted pathway. What we heard is once he is in under the restricted pathway, he can apply to transfer into a different college.

Wondering if anyone out there with similar situation. Appreciate any feedback or inputs on the possibility of transferring into Aerospace Engineering in above situation. Thank you.
