Chances of Waitlist?

I was wait listed for the Fall 2015 semester and want to know what you think my chances are?

GPA: 3.4UW/4.7W
SAT: 740M 600R 640W
SAT II: M1 700 M2 680
Essay and Recs pretty good
NJ

Class Rank: 120/547 (22%) but will change once first semester grades are done, and I will be moving up.

I take all honors course and 6 APs- AP Lang, AP Calc AB, AP Calc BC, AP Physics B, AP Bio and AP Econ(Macro&Micro) and 10 Honors Courses.

(The AP classes are why my GPA is on the lower side)
I go to a pretty good public school, but not best in the area

Basic EC’s- Spanish and Business/Tech Honor Societies

My parents are divorced and mom makes < 60K. Dad lives in MD makes < 50K. First in my family to go to 4 year college. Mom and Dad both have associates degrees from Johnson and Wales.

I have a job at Panera where I have been promoted to a trainer. I worked at a camp as a counselor. Also very involved in church- went to New Orleans and Washington DC on mission trips.

I screwed up junior year and got 3 C’s in the hardest AP Classes at my school. My first semester grades this year are FLAWLESS so I’m hoping this gives me the edge I need to be accepted…what do you think? What else can I do to enhance my application? What are the chances they even go to the wait list?

Also Applied to-
Rutgers NB (Accepted Business & Engineering Schools)
University of Pittsburgh (Accepted Business)
Northeastern (Deferred)

Chances for getting off the waitlist? Near 0%. I don’t remember the last time they took people off the waitlist, take freshman connection or come in the spring. Go to the admitted student day and talk to the freshman connection office, they are great.

They will not look at your senior year grades unless they request it from you. Please research freshman connection, it is a great program and you will be no different after your first semester.

Alternatively look into the Freshman Abroad program: http://myea.umd.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=programs.ViewProgram&Program_ID=10094
It allows you to study abroad (fun experience) during the Fall and is only for Spring admitted Freshman.
