Frankly, I’m pretty confident that I’m not going to get in (especially seeing the myriad “omg i built a bridge in africa to save starving children: will i get in???” posts. Still, there are lingering hopes of me getting in. Lay them to rest so that I can get over it and get all excited about other schools. (Unless I have hope, of course.) Though the four or five other kids from my school who are applying would undoubtedly be accepted before I would.

I guess. My class is still very competitive, especially compared to last year’s, and the top 2 students both have ~4.00 uGPAs, and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th students all have ~3.8-9.

At my school, AP classes have a 2.71 weighting as compared to level 4 (AP is Level 0) classes, and the unweighted is on a 4.00 scale. I’m working on finding a GPA calculator that can be applied to high school and makes sense. In any case, while the compliments about my name and stuff are nice, they’re not really germane to the topic.

My weighted GPA is approximately 3.53, according to a (totally authoritative) Google’d source.

Actually, I just realized earlier today that I left out a description of the mission trip I took two years ago, which I’m sure would have helped. Upon remembering, I got a wave of nausea. Good times.

Also, I found out yesterday there’s a forum for these threads that I, in all my noobiness, did not know about. Is there any way to get the thread moved so I don’t feel silly?
