Well, what do you think? I’ve never been so worried in my life. I don’t know what I would do if I were rejected. After all, I’m better than pretty much everyone I know that is applying. Still, I just don’t know. So what are my chances?

i dont think your stats could be any more perfect

you are a huge egotist. you’re stats are perfect. all you are looking for is people to tell you that you are a shoo in in order to boost your ego, when the real truth is, is that no one is a shoo in. ive heard of valedictorians of prestigous high schools with 1600’s on their SATs getting rejected from an ivy league. what makes you more special than another applicant with identical stats?

wow…i dunno how on earth anyone can manage all that…?
i do about half of that, and cannot manage to sleep more than 5hrs on any given night…

sorry if that came off as rude. i didnt mean for it to. you have good stats and godd ecs. you seem like a good match for Duke. all i was saying is to not be shocked if you don’t get in. a lot of other applicants have very similar stats.

I agree with alicia6988. Clearly, you’re smart and you’ve loaded up the EC’s. Honestly, nothing stands out to me. You have no hook or no passion that you’ve followed. If you read the article from Duke magazine that everyone has been posting, Duke prefers when you have a single passion and have pursued it as opposed to racking up EC’s for your resume. Good luck.

Also, you said you got into Harvard but not Yale…HOW??? when both are single-choice early action, isn’t it illegal to apply to both???

And if Harvard let you in, why are you even asking about getting into Duke. Duke is a good school and all, but Harvard ranks higher in my preference. I applied to Duke over Harvard because I didn’t want the pressure of an ivy league, but apparently you want to go to an ivy.

Why do you have other posts with different SAT I scores?

yea you have different posts, and by the way, THERE IS a chances post

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=144502

I don’t know if you guys are serious or not (since he’s obviously not real), but how can you say this hypothetical kid doesn’t stand out? Student Council Prez, football and baseball MVP, basketball, and Eagle Scout. That’s just ridiculous. I doubt that anyone else in the nation has those scores with those sports and Eagle Scout.

“After all, I’m better than pretty much everyone I know that is applying. Still, I just don’t know.”

little cocky therE?

well, i geuss you have reason to be, but still

Perhaps BetterThanU is tossing these ridiculous posts to all these different college discussion forums as a satire highlighting the ridiculously narcissistic posts that sometimes appear on this site. If it isn’t a joke, however, then he’s a pompous ass who should be castrated with bricks to prevent future reproduction. Its the former for God sakes, look at the godd**n screen name.

■■■■■…

I’m actually kind of amused haha. It’s cute. :)

I’m sorry, but those stats make me want to barf. They’re almost too perfect to believe.

i agree completely with elpresidente, he’s a textbook ■■■■■

there is no POSSIBLE way this kid has any friends
