Please give me my chances. Don’t be afraid to be harsh!

Good course load and excellent ECs. However, your test scores are a bit on the low end (they’re not really that low, but considering how insane admissions were this past year, a score boost wouldn’t hurt). Is your 3.87 GPA w or uw? If it’s unweighted, it’s okay. If it’s weighted…that could be problematic. With a strong essay, I think you have a decent shot (as long as you understand that applying EA is not a hook…lol).

The potential areas for improvement would be 1) ACT/SAT scores and 2) GPA. Would applying RD give you more time to boost those numbers? If you feel that you could get a higher score with the extra two months (or have first semester grades in time for RD applications), I recommend that you apply RD. EA admissions don’t seem to have any significant advantage.

I think you really need a score boost. Judging from this years decisions, it seems like Chicago admissions people are gonna have to start taking SAT/ACT scores very seriously to differentiate between potential candidates.
