<p>True, but she acknowledges math is not a strength and chemistry and calculus are math-oriented; she does have pre-cal (if you start Algebra in 9th grade, most folks do not get to Calculus by 12th, and we do not know if Algebra was available at her middle school or if she placed in it) and physics, biology, and not only French but some Japanese. Her oboe, piano, and flute talents are very appealing, and everyone knows that an orchestra is always in need of an oboe player. </p>
<p>OP: I would contact W&M’s music dept and check in with the prof who conducts orchestra and make sure he or she knows that you play the oboe and have experience as first chair.</p>
