There is about a 99.9% chance you will get in IMO. I have a friend who did EPGY during summer before 9th grade with no previous experience in…anything really.
So yeah, you should be fine.

thanks…

any1 else

I don’t think EPGY is all that selective… I got in but realized that IMHO, for the cot, EPGY just doesn’t have much of a benefit when instead you could look for internships, take classes, volunteer, etc., over summer - all of which probably boost your resume and more importantly, your knowledge, a whole lot more than EPGY.

Keep in mind that EPGY is a program that you may or may not want to be locked into.

If you’re talking about taking a course or two, I think you’ll get in very easily. I think you only need good SATs to prove you’re worthy. It’s not like applying to college, EC’s are not important. I can’t speak to the on-line high school’s requirements. Use distance learning to accelerate in a subject, or add courses to your resume. It’s very flexible, and generally less expensive than other course options. It does take commitment to sit down and work on it every day. Generally you rent the course for three months, but then they let you rent for shorter increments of time to finish a course if you don’t finish in three months. You can also finish a course in less than three months and start another if you’re very motivated at no extra cost. You need to learn to set goals and budget your time to finish the course in three months and not incur the extra time fees. You can combine a course (expect to spend an hour or two a day on it) and some other summer activity. They even let you take a week or two off for vacation if your family has plans. Generally, EPGY is as flexible as schools are rigid and inflexible.
