I’m sorry if this is less organized that most CCers are accustomed to seeing, but I very much appreciate all input that you can give.

all good except ur 680 on CR. if u could come off as interesting…who knowS? ur awards are pretty standard except the book award but even for that…idk. i guess i like ur chances but i tend to be one of the more generous posters on cc

As good of a chance as anyone, everything looks solid. Who knows, really?

P.S. Is your baseball team 4A? Just curious if I might have played you last year.

I’m sorry for the loss of your father.
You do look like an interesting applicant. What is your intended major? I like how your activities are organized- it looks like you definitely have an interest in international relations.
Why did you only take the SAT in May 2005? Your ACT score looks great, of course. Did you explain the significance of your school-level awards on your application?

you seem to be a good enough applicant on a statistical basis - essays and recs is where it will matter.

Carpal-
Woops. That was a typo – it was May 2008… silly me.
How might one explain the school-level awards besides in essays or on a separate resume? Common App has room for the name of the award and year received.
In terms of a major, I’m considering both economics and international relations, though I’m open to nearly anything.

Mike - Yeah, we are 4a, in CPS

With a 36 ACT, I wouldn’t even bother submitting your SAT scores (for fear of the detrimental impact of the 660). You’re very qualified.

Too late to lament now. I’ve sent the SATs already, as two subject tests were recommended… Hopefully because it is in a foreign language and because I received an A in AP French, it won’t count too harshly against me.

How did you guys do last year? We got crushed in the sectional finals.

Anways, good luck with baseball and Stanford!

You have a great chance of getting in! sorry about your father

thanks for the enlightening and kind comments

Haha, I was just thinking- wow, what an excellent score, and before he started high school, too!

I used the “additional information” section to add a little resume that added a couple sentences about each of my awards- some of them were a bit lesser known.

Best of luck to you!!

thats quite helpful, thanks! you too i suppose?

hmm pretty good. Although you would have to send the SAT I scores no matter what, since Collegeboard sends everything. Stanford wants SAT IIs

thanks for the input, everyone
