<p>I have a friend who’s even more overanxious than I am! She’s wondering if anyone has successfully applied RD to Yale in the year following a year in which she was rejected?</p>
<p>She applied to Yale last year and was rejected. She took a gap year this year, and has applied to Yale again. Now she’s wondering if she has any chance at all. Her statistics are “in range”–NMF, 1580 old SAT, almost a 4.0 GPA, top-of-the-game ECs, but not unusual ones…gap year activities are strong, too…lots of community service, a college course at a selective private school, enrichment-type travel…</p>
<p>Does anyone know of anyone who succeeded–or failed–under these circumstances? At this point, she’s as interested in “giving up hope” as she is in encouragement…she just wants some honest input as to whether she has any prayer of a chance???</p>
