chances. . .short :]

Basically:
Female, first generation Chinese
Have worked at family business since 5th grade–not a lot of time for ECs, but I have one major one that’s very original. . .I hope
SC resident, semi-crappy high school

SAT I 1430/2230
SAT II Lit, Math2 760/760
GPA UW 3.9 W 4.6

Many regional and national publications and awards for creative writing
NMSF

This is what worries me: course load is weird b/c I commute between two schools (take creative writing at the other one), so scheduling problems are very common, and I take the best courseload I can. . .but every year, there is at least one regular class that I end up having to take! (I make sure to make 100s in those, though)
But I will graduate w/ 3 APs and 3 IBs, three of those in English

Thank you!

Well, if SC stands for South Carolina and not Southern California, I’d say you stand an excellent chance. Your ECs are a little weak, so I’d be sure to play up the 1st-gen angle and the working after school. I wish you luck!

I think your chances are high with a good essay, and a good explination of working at the store
