<p>Greetings fellow members of College Confidential.</p>
<p>My name is Kanav and I had a question regarding my possible chances of being accepted into NYU which is supposedly ranked #33 in the country. From my high school, ABRHS, the average acceptance for the school is having a 4.09 GPA and a 2151 on the SAT. My credentials are much lower than that since i have a 3.93 GPA and have a 1970 SAT score. However, I have good extra curricular activities, a job, volunteer work and good recommendation letters. Seeing, my SAT scores I plan to retake them hopefully to attain a 2100 since I’ve only taken them once. </p>
<p>In short, my question to you guys is that will applying to this school as Early Decision increase my chances of being accepted? Or should I go with a school which is closer to my standards such as BU which requires ~3.92 GPA and about a 2070.</p>
