OTHER:

I plan on writing good essays and getting good recommendations (One of my strong points is good relationships with professors.)

umm…

i am not aware of haas making any exception to native speakers, unless the language was studied outside of country at some high school to a third year of proficiency.

if you’ve got that, and you’ve got good essays, you’ve got hell of a shot

@zemookmok

I lived all my life in El Salvador, so my first language is Spanish. I went to an American school where 95% of the time we spoke English and we had one or two Spanish classes. How could I prove my Spanish proficiency in this case? My HS transcript has my Spanish classes but I don’t want to send my HS transcript because I have horrible grades. Any suggestions?

I know I have really good stats but what I’m scared of is the fact that UC’s give priority to people from California Community Colleges. What’s your take on that?

SAT II Spanish Test. Or, if possible, you might take the AP Spanish test. I believe both are available to people outside of high school.

wow. now we’re in serious trouble. listen, pcrstiani, they need to see that you have completed at least up until the third quarter or second semester of a foreign language-OR up until your THIRD year of fluency in high school. that’s how you satisfy the requirement. the SAT and the AP tests are impossible to take, so if you want to save your chances (and i know you want to save your chances), you need to take two semesters of spanish at your college. bar none, you MUST do this.

wow, arent you glad you posted on this board?

edit: recommendations mean nothing, they dont factor in the process
