Currently at a state school in NY and just finished my freshman year. I’m intending to transfer after my sophomore year.
Major: Agricultural Business
Ethnicity: white male (also gay if that affects anything)
GPA: 3.55 (my last semester was 3.75) – I have all A’s and B’s and no blemishes on my transcript. Also took some significantly harder courses (300 and 400 level). I will have around 75-80 credits when I leave.
As for EC’s: Agricultural Business Club (Vice President), Ag Council, Club Council, National Agri Marketing Association Team. Additionally played in the Area All State Orchestra, and I’ve been working for a racehorse breeding stable for many years. Also have some volunteer hours.
I have glowing letters of recommendation.
Schools:
Top Choices- University of Kentucky, Purdue, Iowa State, Cal Poly SLO
Second Choices: Ohio State, Kansas State, UW Madison, Virginia Tech, Cornell (I know Cornell seems like a reach, but students transfer there from my school all the time, and some have worse stats).
Literally any kind of prediction or piece of advice is appreciated. I’m just curious because I’m considering visiting many of these schools over the summer. I’m looking to see which ones I could get into realistically.
If you need more info, let me know. Thanks in advanced!
