I want to apply to Georgetown, Chicago, Northwestern, Rice, Brown, Columbia GS, John Hopkins

Stats: applying for junior year, 3.91 GPA from 3rd tier, 3.56 hs gpa, good EC’s.

The problem is that I have not received my SAT scores so I am not feeling real confident about my chances. Is there a cut off score that I should consider before I even apply? As I organize my applications I can’t help but wonder what I do if my scores aren’t great.

I would really appreciate some feedback about my chances and the relative scores I should expect to even apply and actually be accepted. Thanks!

Hopkins didn’t require SAT for transfer last year, so with them, you could just not send them if you don’t like them.

With the others, your chances are very limited if you are not in their 25-75% range. They are best if you are well above the 25% range. What else is new?

Only you can decide if it’s worth applying if the scores are lower - depends on what else you have to offer and how strong an application you craft.
