I think your chances are pretty good. You should write a compelling essay and get an extra recommendation from someone who knows you really well but isn’t a school teacher. Try to get recommendations from people who know you well personally, not just people who had classes you did really well in. Spend lots of time on the essay (there are good essay-writing tips online). Don’t have someone else write your essay - your voice needs to come through - but give it your best shot to display how you are a thoughtful, creative writer. Much of college is about writing so they need to see that.

A good idea is to complete the application two weeks in advance, then look at it two weeks later and pretend you’re the admissions offer. Try to see if it looks like your personality comes through clearly (and also that you’ve avoided any mistakes). If not, revise.

How’s Hanoi? I was thinking of visiting sometime soon.

Thank you so much for your reply. I’m planning on submitting an additional essay (actually that’s Bowdoin’s supp essay) and a work sample. Do you think that I should submit more than 1 supp essay to Williams ?
Hanoi’s really hot and humid right now You’ll get burnt going out without a cap

The Aus scholarships are for my school only, due to our close connection. This is not a kinda “well-known” scholarship in the world :)
