Hello all. I am an upcoming senior and I’m hoping to major in neuroscience and then hopefully go to med school. Here at my stats:
GPA: 3.57 UW 3.84 W
Ranked 23/178, so within the top 13%.
Mediocre SAT score, but I have taken the prep scholar study program and plan to retake SAT and ACT’s in the fall
Extra Curriculars:
French Horn player in high school wind ensemble
All State Orchestra participant
RIMEA Solo and Ensemble festivals participant
JV volleyball freshman and sophomore
Student Council Member
Class Council member
Hostess at local retirement home
National Honor Society Member
National Society for High School Scholars member

Community Service:
Volunteer work at Women and Infants hospital
Local soup kitchen volunteer
(Looking into Habitat for Humanity)

I would like to stay in the northeast, preferably New York, Connecticut, Mass, Conn and Maine. I think I would be most suited at a liberal arts college. I would consider Trinity College and Bard College high matches. Are there any other schools that fit my criteria that I may be able to get into? All suggestions are appreciated!

Also, what about Union College and Bates College? I know that they are very high reaches and but some below average students can slip through the cracks. I’ll probably apply to 1 or 2 of these reaches but I also need schools that are realistic.

What about like a Skidmore or Brandeis or Lehigh or Colby? These are all small, northeast LAC and the first 3 could be in your range depending on your scores. Also, maybe like a Connecticut College. Also, Muhlenburg or Ithaca College as a safety
