Chances with a 1970??????

I was wondering…

I have a 1970 on my SAT I:
CR- 670
M- 650
W-650

My SAT IIs:
US- 700
Bio- 710

I have a good GPA (4.1 weighted, 3.8 unweighted) with almost all As, except for maybe 3/4 Bs/B+ from freshman to junior year.

I have great ECs and am expecting to write a good essay and have good recs. If I apply ED to WashU do I still have a chance despite my SAT score??

What’s your hook?

Well Im pretty serious about journalism. Ive been the editor of my school’s paper for two years in a row, I did a summer journalism program, and I have my own zine that I publish. Im just stressed that my SATs hold me back…

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Sorry, I just had to say that.

Wash U doesn’t have a journalism program. Do your research better.

just because someone is interested in journalism by no means signifies that they would want to major in it. id want to major in economics LOLLLLLLLLL

Oh, stupid me for assuming that. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Just because a college doesn’t have a journalism program doesn’t mean the adcoms wouldn’t be on the lookout for students like you to work on the student-run publications. For all we know there’s a dearth of such applicants to Washu since it’s not known for journalism and your application could stand out for that reason. Applying ED would give you the best odds.

Apply ED or apply RD and try the ACT(some people do much better on it) or retake SAT.

yea i signed up for the act, i hope it goes well
