Emory is in the same league(rank wise) as Vanderbilt and Brown. So it still might be considered a “reach”, but from the stats you’ve provided I think you should have a legitimate change at all three schools. Keep in mind Emory put heavy emphasis on course rigor, essays, and recommendations. With strong essays and recommendations I think you have maybe 40-60% chance.

your scores are okay. your activities is good. make sure that you show A LOT of interest… there is a section under the supplement that asks you to check boxes for showed interest. the more boxes you check, the better. also, I recommend you to visit the campus more than once since you scores are in the okay range. btw they extended the rd deadline to Feb 1 so that’s plenty of time… make sure to order the dvd. If you show a lot of interest, I say 60-68%

Thank you, I would say my senior courseload is pretty rigorous… AP Lang, AP US history, Psychology and American Cinema at the Community college, Amer. Gov’t/Econ… My school doesn’t offer many AP’s and I think they’ll see that in the school report. That was also my first time taking the ACT I plan to take it again in February and hopefully break into the 30-32 range.

Somewhere I read that you can submit additional test scores later as long as you have some test scores by the deadline… I could be wrong can anyone clarify?
