Chances?

I am a junior in Alabama and I have the following stats:
A 3.4 unweighted GPA, and a 3.65 weighted GPA. I have taken multiple honor courses and plan to take more along with one AP in my senior year.
I have a 28 on the ACT.
I am involved in 3-4 EC’s every year in school and 2 out of school.
I plan on getting a lot of community service in the summer time as well.
And would it benefit me to apply for early decision?
Thanks…

Bump. …

USF doesn’t do early decision admissions; it uses a modified rolling admissions process. Get your app in early when USF first opens admissions up in August for best chance. If you come to USF, leave your attitude home!

Thank you! And I will but I’ve posted 3 or 4 things and nobody posts on them!

I do not believe that they do early decisions.
Not sure if you came across this, but you might want to check their matrix just to see where you are falling at right now.

You stats seems good right now. Just make sure that you apply early this year, like as soon as admission sign ups first open, or they’ll have you waiting for like 2 months. I applied late last December and didnt get a notice about them making a decision until yesterday online -_-. Still waiting on the letter though…

Yeah I plan on applying early senior year, like August or September just so they have proof of what I’m in, etc. Do colleges ask you for your midterm grades so they know you aren’t failing anything? And if so, what grades should you have because I may get senioritis :).

Yes, they do. They also ask for final grades and test scores on AP exams because they don’t want slackers with senioritis. (that’s what they said at my orientation last year)
They said one C is ok, but no more than that. No Fs or Ds, or they will take away your spot.

And do you they use the weighted GPA in their little matrix thing for admissions? Because if so that would be nice  lol.

They calculate the GPA themselves with only the core classes, and if you’re applying to the College of Engineering, they only count STEM classes.

Ok thank you!

No problem. Keep those grades up.
