Im really nervous, about these college applications & im trying to figure out what colleges i want to go to. Heres some I looked into:

BIOLOGY MAJOR
Boston College
Rutgers
Penn State
Drexel
Carnegie Mellon
Stony Brook (Just an extra)

Im just trying to figure out my chances of getting into these schools with a 84.32% average (I have no idea what that is on a 4.0 scale).

Here are some of my Activities:
Student Government President- Junior Year
Service Club- 4 years
Philosophy Club- 2 years
Interior Design/ Model Making Club- 3 years
Over 250 hours in community service (tutored middle school kids)

I am only a SOPHOMORE (junior in the fall), and I am taking only 2 AP’s next year (Bio and US). Is this good enough for these colleges? What are some others in my range? What more could i do in my junior year to raise my “appeal” :).

Thanks!

Have you taken the PSAT yet? Or any standardized tests? Even scores from practice tests would be useful(:
Your GPA would probably be near a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (A 3 is awarded for grades 80-89)
In your junior year, become really involved, get leadership positions, and work hard in school. Get a job or pick out a charity you’d love to devote yourself to.
Just make sure you don’t do things just for the college application; do things you actually enjoy!
I’m not really familiar with any of those schools just try to work hard and study for the SAT/ACT and I’m sure you’d have a solid shot at all of them
You may want to consider visiting the campuses throughout the year to narrow down and pick your top few aims.

Oh yeah I forgot to, mention that i got a score of 1730 on the SAT.
Thanks for the response Ruthie2012! Im going on a college “road trip” with my friends at the end of this summer. Im going to check out these schools as well as some others? Any other suggestions for schools in my academic area thats good for bio?
