Hey guys. I am a senior; I came from Taiwan in my junior year(so I've only been in US for a year), but I won't apply as international. I am planning to double major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I heard that UIUC's really great in these, so I want to see if I have a chance...

To say it first that my school won't do weighted GPA and ranking.

GPA:3.81 (I was in top 3% school in Taiwan so it's pretty competitive; we have a standard test)

SAT: 2100 (Math:800 Writing:750 Reading: 550)

SAT II: Math 800, Physics 800, Chemistry 800

ACT: Taking in December, probably 32-34 (very bad in CR)

TOFEL: Probably 100-110

AP (I have to explain that since I'm new to America, my school doesn't allow me to take "classes". I self-studied and took the AP exams, whereas they won't be shown on my high school transcript.): AP Calculus BC 5, AP Calculus AB Sub Score 5, AP Physics C Mechanics 4, AP Physics C E&M 5

Senior Year Classes (I'm taking a lot of sophomore/junior level math and science courses in community college and state university.):

In High School: Senior English, Health, Orchestra

In Universities:

Math: Calculus IV(I read Spivak and Apostol Calculus(and manifolds) for this class albeit they're not the assigned text), Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Advance Calculus, Advance Multivariable Calculus, Introduction to Real Analysis, Discrete Mathematics, Partial Differential Equations

Physics: General Physics with Calculus(Modern Physics), Theoretical Physics(self-study, use Landau Course of Theoretical Physics)

Chemistry: Organic Chemistry

Computer Science: Computer Science I/II(C++ and Java), Discrete Structure I/II, Data Structure, Micro Computer Hardware

Engineering: Electrical Circuits I/II/III. Electronics

Extra Curricular:

Music, violin:
Played for 11 years, 1st of school Orchestra, All-State Orchestra, State Qualified, Champion of Hsinchu and Taoyuan city

Math Club: President (in 9th grade)

Programming Club: President (in 10th grade)

Science Club: Assistance (in 10th grade)

Sports, swimming: (9th and 10th grade)
100m backstroke Silver Medal in intraschool competition, Swimming team of Presbyterian Bible College

Summer Program: (10th grade)
TTSA high school union summer study-IT, select 2 students from each of the 13 best schools in nation

Volunteering: (11.12th grade)

Essay: Pretty good, my uncle in Chicago University helps me a lot

Recommendation Letter: Pretty good. I have 4 teachers' recommendation letter and a counselor's.

You have a good chance in both those majors. UIUC doesn't take any letter of recommendations.
