Chances?

I’ll do that also, thanks

Do you mean your GPA for this year has gone up to a 3.4 because 1. they don’t evaluate your GPA from senior year ( even if you keep updating them that it is improving) 2. Midyear grades can’t be sent in( at least at my high school in CT) before they probably will make a decision( early feb)… So sending it in is probably a lot of effort on your part for little return because chances are they will disregard it as superfluous information.

I doubt that.

I sent in my GPA because I think it shows improvement-not because I think its necessary. I realize they don’t normally evaluate senior year, however in my initial post about my chances, I think a common agreement is my GPA is low and will hurt me. So my emailing is an attempt to emphasize my interest-GWU is my first choice, I’m working hard to be accepted-while simultaneously showing improvement and hoping to compensate for my initially lackluster GPA.

In my Information Session they said that they appreciate your interest but sometimes too much fussing with the application is bad. I mean ultimately it probably can’t significantly hurt you but they might get annoyed. Send what you want I’m not an expert I just don’t know where they draw the line between taking initiative and being too pushy.

Thanks, I appreciate your input. I think if my GPA wasn’t so low to begin with I wouldn’t have bothered. I do get your point and I have wondered about ‘annoying them’ but they always sign the emails with “don’t hesitate to contact us again” so it makes me think it’s welcome.
