Did you interview? Regular decision or early decision?

No interview, ED2

I think you have a decent chance, especially applying ED2. Btw I’m from WI and applying ED2 also! Best of luck to you!

i think you might have a chance ED2

Kinleymc, where are you from?? I’m from Mukwonago. Not sure if you’ll know where it is haha.

Haha Yeah I don’t know where that is! I’m from Verona, just outside of Madison.

I know where that is-I used to live in Madison. Muktown is about 20 miles away from Milwaukee.

So I have another question-I’m currently taking AP Calc BC but not doing well at all-math has never been good for me-and I’m going to take on a study hall. Will this hurt my chances?

It depends on what class you’re dropping, is my guess. Dropping an “easy” elective class won’t matter whereas dropping an ap class most likely would. I don’t know exactly what gw’s policy is, but I’m guessing that they expect you to report senior year schedule changes. That’s what uw-Madison’s policy is (I’m assuming you applied to Madison as well).

I hear ya, I’m in calc bc also and it certainly is challenging me!

I did apply to Maidson.
I did email GWU and told them of the change, I offered the explanation that I was struggling and it was detracting from my other activities and classes. I feel like I was honest, and that since I have fulfilled the math requirement it will be OK. I don’t want it to seem like I can’t handle the burden of college classes, but at the same time, I want to do poli sci, which has no relation to math, and I think it is smarter to spend time on other classes rather than let everything suffer. That might just be me trying to rationalize and make myself feel better though lol

I’ve also worked heavily on the Scott Walker recall campaign, played Tennis freshman year, and have taken sax lessons since 6th grade. Single parent house hold, first generation college student, only child.

Scott Walker recall campaign? You are A-OK. I think you will be accepted.

Thanks schmohawk! Great to hear =)

I know I’ve asked this before, but since it’s getting closer, does anyone know when ED2 decisions will be out? I’ve heard early week of Feb and some people have specified within the first week.

Last year it was within the first week of February, I think the 4th but I’m not sure. Assuming they do it the same as last year, it’ll likely be that first Thursday or Friday in February. If not, then the following week for sure.

Thanks. I’m so anxious!

My cumulative GPA at the time of my application was a 2.9, it for semester 1 it will be finalized as a 3.4. Would it be worth emailing to tell them?

Couldn’t hurt, plus it’s always good to just keep in touch.

Alright thanks. I did, and also added that instead of just a study hall, I will be using the free period to be a TA for an AP psych class.
