<p>ok well, I just found out that I qualify for having my tuiting fee waived if I get into university of washington because my dad died while he was in the army and a resident of washington, but im worried that I might not get in there, was just wondering what my chances are.</p>

<p>28 composite on the ACT</p>
<p>2 one semester AP classes</p>
<p>good ECs, varsity golf, varsity tennis captain, future problem solving (does anyone actually know what this is? my teacher keeps saying that colleges love it but im not convinced that anyone else has ever heard of it, oh yeah, and its an independent study class), im the class VP, and I had a job over the summer teaching tennis.</p>
<p>I have one outstanding essay and one ok one</p>
<p>they dont take recs so i guess thats it, and for anyone who knows about UW, are the dorms really that bad? should i try to get an apartment off campus? and does anyone think that you lose anything by not living in a dorm? </p>
