For COMPUTER SCIENCE.

I don’t think it’s a match for you, I’m sure you’ll get in =)

^^ I see you got accepted what was your M+V? since UIUC counts writing to a lesser weight.

Sat score is fine (note SAT II’s are ignored by UIUC for admission so the physics will not have any impact). Not clear is where your GPA would place you – UIUC depends heavily on class rank but when school does not rank it looks at GPA and particularly courses taken and how well you did in difficult courses. Good essays and EC’s will help; recommendations are given little to no weight. Women are treated as URM’s for the College of Engineering (which has computer science) and thus you will have a plus factor.

An issue you face is that UIUC has rolling admissions and, particularly as to computer science where it tradionally gets a large number of applicants by November 15, it will have already accepted a lot of students and your being on the tail end of applicants can lower your chances. Important that you meet app deadline of Jan 3 and that requires not just getting your on-line app in but also you will find when you get to the end of that app that you need to submit both a signature page from you and a form filled out by your counselor who sends it in with your transcript.

just submitted my app. essays are decent. OMG, i cant believe i need a signature page. uuuuumm. problem. my school sends out the transcript/guidance recs/school info etc etc on their own. we just fill out our list of colleges and they send everything out. so that means the only thing missing is my signature. Do they really really need it? Because they have everything besides that and that page. I already paid by credit card.

I talked to my conselor and she said I didnt need the signature form. I didnt send it and was admitted anyway.

twas this thing

i is happy spot got admitted w/o form =]

BTW would i be an auto admit or manual?

munkeegirl

u got admitted without submitting the form? i’ve run into a similar problem. i just finished completing the application today and submitted it and paid. But i cant get my counselor’s signature cuz he’s on christmas break. what should i do??

Ignore it, you don’t need the form if your school sends out a default school report

no, spot got admitted without the form but my application list is checked for the signature page

I was admitted without sending the signature form, but I had already sent my transcript through my HS well before. To be safe I would talk to your HS conselor when you get back from winter break. It isnt something to worry about, but I wouldnt completely forget about it, just to be safe.

i already sent in my official transcript via DHL…should get there in a day or two…

thanks

I Got Admitted!!! Yay!!
