I attend a small, private school. The school offers no honors or AP classes, but I am top in my class and have taken the hardest course load offered.
UW GPA: 4.0
ACT: 29 (32 Math)
I applied to the Mechanical Engineering department.
Student Council 4 years - Pres and VP
1st team all-conference athlete in soccer and basketball, conference player of the year
Lead roles in school plays
Mission trips and volunteering galore
National Honor Society
Essays for Tech are probably the best of any I have done for applications

<p>Your overall ACT score is slightly low, but a 32 on the math section is fine for an engineering major. Since you are out-of-state, it’s hard to tell how likely it is that you will be admitted; but your odds seem to be fairly good. Good luck!</p>

<p>I think you have a chance. Your ACT is in the 50% range from last year. So it’s probably going to depend on how good your essays were.</p>
